Family Cetic Tree is made by the following principles and goals:
1. The tree follows male lineage according Bosnian traditional views of family origin. An additional reason for this decision is that the tree becomes immense and impractical for viewing in the event that follows the male and female lines in parallel.
2. Each daughter and wife on tree has a space for close family inside the link Biography. This means that for all daughters' names, basic information and photos for her husband and children will be posted, and for all wives data for the father, mother, brothers and sisters. In this way, hopefully, the status of male and female family members will be mitigated and balanced. Also I will be delighted to add to any link that already exists with additional information about family members of our family.
3. The tree is designed and optimized for Firefox ver. 4, screen size 17" and resolution 1280 x 1024 px, since I assume that most users have a monitor of that size. That does not mean you cannot use other browsers (eg. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera or another), or a different size of monitor. You'll have the best possible picture (the same one that was originally created) just in case if you meet the above conditions. I decided for Firefox ver. 4 for the simple reason that it is the best existing program for this purpose. In short writing, I recommend that you install Firefox with the following link: http://www.getfirefox.net/. Installation is free, you will have the fastest internet access and better security from virus attacks. If you have problems or questions regarding installation please contact me by email.
4. If you do not see information or photo related to you or any member of your immediate family, the reason is that the data did not come to me. I ask all family members to send me any information (life stories, shared photos, audio or video recordings, documents, links, etc.) to senad.cetic@gmail.com. If you need any technical assistance with the transfer of information to a digital format, just let me know and we will find the solution to everything. Just do not give up!
5. The goals of setting up family tree on the internet are:
- preserving all existing information on Cetic’s forever;
- allow current and future generations, wherever life takes them, access to constantly updated information on their origin, ancestry, and
mutual family ties;
- create a data base with the biggest possible accuracy and keep copies of all original documents in terms of furthering research;
- create a biography with all known information for each family member;
- provide an easy way for additions, changes and connection with other family trees;
- to enable the fastest possible way to search the information about any family member;
- allow convergence, better knowledge and understanding among family members;
- create a sense of pride and belonging to a powerful family that has a rich tradition and history;
6. I hope you realize that the achievement of objectives in paragraph five of the project lasts for a lifetime for all those who are alive and those who are yet to be born. They can be achieved only if each member of the family according to their ability provides maximum effort to obtain information. Then is necessary to promptly send this information in a single place, that would eventually be available to everyone.
